Description:

Maintain the safe and efficient use of equipment, while adjusting settings to ensure accurate production of goods. Support all efforts to maintain 5-S standards and the plant's overall housekeeping as assigned by the Production Supervisor. Assist other Managers with different tasks as they occur asassigned by the Production Supervisor.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform daily routine cleaning of areas; maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping.Responsible for machine adjustments, product changeover, start-up, and shutdown activities.Conduct preventive maintenance of process lines and resolve production problems efficiently to minimize downtime.Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed maintenance.Meet the department's key objectives.Must understand and follow job-specific SOPs.Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions.QualificationsAbility to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees at all levels of the organization.Ability to recognize the quality expected and be able to reproduce it.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.Must maintain a positive rating as described in the training/qualification evaluation record as Front End Support.Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.Hand-eye coordination.ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Three (3) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Any appropriate combination of academic and work experience.Physical RequirementsAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs without assistance.Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling, or bending positions.Ability to work with arms above head.Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.Hand-eye coordination.Saint-Gobain provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
