This will include large projectsurveys in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. The successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to support Phase I archeological surveys. Join POWER and help us have fun, do good, and build success.Job Summary of Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Field Technician provides technical support, utilizing a basic understanding of anthropological and archeological field techniques in connection with locating, testing, recording, mapping, and evaluating archeological sites and supporting field surveys. Conducting field surveys (pedestrian and shovel test surveys) using topographic maps, aerial photographs, and ESRI Field Maps App will be a regular part of this role. This position requires the ability to work long hours, in difficult or remote environments in varying weather conditions and the ability to work with groups composed of diverse personalities.Required Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Anthropology, or a related disciplinePrevious CRM field experience or archeological field schoolKnowledge and understanding of equipment, technology, and paperwork used in the recording and documenting of archeological sites and artifactsKnowledge of health and safety standardsValid driver's licenseAbility to work long hours in harsh environments and in varying weather conditionsAbility to effectively and respectfully communicate with team membersMust be able to carry heavy loads in the fieldDesired Education/ExperienceExperience in utility transmission, petrochemical exploration projectsExperience with Arc Field Maps data collectionExperience participating in daily Job Hazard Analysis "tailgate"Â safety meetingsYour resume must provide work experience during the last two years, three current references, and complete contact information.
