The company serves the southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana markets, catering to industrial plants. Saladin Pump is a long-time Goulds distributor and, in addition to the ITT companies, it represents Xylem, John Crane, Warren Rupp, Roper, Liquiflo, and Prominent, as well as many other manufacturers. The core territory for Saladin Pump & Equipment includes the following five counties in Texas: Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Newton and Orange; and the following five parishes in Louisiana: Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron and Jefferson Davis. The Saladin Pump & Equipment facility includes a shop for repair of pumps and other rotating equipment.Summary: Sets up and operates various metalworking machine tools (ex. lathe, balance machine, mill). Maintains a high quality of service. Read mechanical drawings.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, balancer, and other machine tools.Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly.Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, equipment, and unit tests to ensure functionality and performance.Inspects, disassembles, selects parts from a repair parts list, and re-assembles rotating equipment.
