Job Summary:

The load puller is responsible for preparing, packaging and the loading of materials onto our trucks for delivery. Must be able to interact well with fellow associates and customers. Requires knowledge of building materials, loading and unloading procedures, maintaining of company equipment (forklift), filling out preventative maintenance logs and adhering to safety procedures. Also performs various duties while in the yard, such as keeping assigned areas clean and loading customers. Friendly and courteous driving and personal habits are needed.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Basic education which includes ability to competently read and write.
2. Training and Experience: Some experience with building materials recommended. Must have forklift experience.
3. Job Knowledge: Driving skills and building material knowledge is preferred.
4. Physical Demands: Work requires much physical effort; involves sitting, standing, walking, and some heavy lifting on a regular basis. Works in a non-air-conditioned environment. (Important: This job is classified in the physical demands section of the job description [Form IV-31] as constant heavy work and occasional extra heavy work.)
