Location: Harvey, LA - Filling industrial

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing and servicing on-site nitrogen generation plants and bulk medical or industrial gas systems in a safe and operationally effective manner, in accordance with all federal, state/provincial and local codes, and Airgas policies.

In particular, you will:

  1. Install, operate, maintain, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer sites to ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of products, prioritizing on-site service activities.
  2. Serve as a key contact/coordination point between the company and customers, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, and coordinate activities with service providers, engineering, sales, and distribution teams.
  3. Perform capacities specifically related to Air Liquide America's equipment, including various gases, storage, regulation, applications, telemonitoring, instrumentation, and FLOXAL systems.
  4. Ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of service work, complete paperwork accurately and timely.
  5. Manage documentation of work, including installations and removals, and compile billing information as needed.
  6. Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures and ensure customer satisfaction with installations.

Are you a MATCH?

  • High School diploma or GED required; College or Technical degree preferred, with skills to install, maintain, and remove customer site installations independently.
  • Minimum four years of diagnostic and repair experience in cryogenics, high-pressure piping, brazing, electrical circuits (including 3-phase power), refrigeration (EPA certified), PLCs, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to be on call 24/7 on a rotating schedule, work in inclement weather, and travel approximately 15% overnight.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record, allowing operation of vehicles up to 10,000 lb GVW.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to comply with all applicable policies, regulations, and standards, including CGA, NFPA, CMA, and others.
