Ironworker
Alexandria, Louisiana

Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled and safety-focused Ironworkers to join our team. The ideal cadidate will have experience in the layout, fabrication, assembly, and erection of structural steel frameworks and metal components for industrial facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Position and secure steel beams, columns, and other structural elements using bolts, rivets, or welding
• Signal crane operators to move heavy steel parts into place
• Use hand and power tools such as torches, shears, grinders, and welding equipment
• Erect steel structures including catwalks, platforms, supports, and frames
• Cut, bend, and weld metal compnents as needed
• Align structures vertically and horizontally using levels, plumb bobs, and lasers
• Work at heaights on scaffolding, aerial lifts, or steel framework
• Participate in safety meetings and site orientation as required

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 2+ years industrial ironworking experience
• Proficiency with rigging, welding, and steel erection techniques
• Must be able to work from heights, confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
• OSHA 10 or 30
• NCCER or journeyman certification a plus
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, climb, bend, and kneel for extended periods
