The Account Director, Small & Medium Business Growth (SMBG), will focus on acquiring net new clients for the CTV ecosystem through the Universal Ads self-service platform. This role is vital within our fast-paced advertising sales team, managing relationships with external clients and independent media agencies, and collaborating across NBCU and Comcast Advertising organizations. Expertise in performance and digital media is essential. The role reports directly to the Vice President, SMBG.

  • Drive demand for CTV advertising on the Universal Ads platform among performance brands and agencies in the direct-to-consumer space.
  • Become an expert on Universal Ads products and identify sustainable opportunities for emerging brands.
  • Support customer acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing relationships with SMB advertisers to maximize revenue and satisfaction.
  • Implement daily sales strategies, develop target lists, conduct outreach, book meetings, and actively market Universal Ads opportunities.
  • Understand customer needs, provide feedback, and market input to enhance our value proposition and convert needs into sales.
  • Monitor sales revenue and report on progress regularly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across NBCU and Comcast Advertising to develop packages and drive sales creativity.
  • Build strong relationships within NBCU & Comcast Advertising to ensure unified market strategies.

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of direct advertising sales experience, including in advanced media environments.
  • Experience in digital video is essential.
  • Strong relationships within the performance agency landscape.
  • Proven ability to prospect, generate leads, and close sales.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and experience presenting marketing programs.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinking and resourcefulness.

Additional Requirements:

This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

The role offers benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and other perks. Salary range: $95,000 - $170,000 (SIC eligible).
