Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Responsible for managing front end of the store and making recommendations on the overall operations of the Pharmacy and Retail Store.

Supports Store Manager with the overall operation of the store to achieve company deliverables; works alternate schedule with the Store Manager with minimal overlap; assumes responsibilities of all store activities in the absence of the Store Manager. Ensures proper merchandising, protection of store assets, and improves store sales and profitability.

Leads and manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline of direct reports to ensure teams are engaged and responsible for their duties.

Customer Experience

  • Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance. Resolves complaints promptly and answers questions to ensure a positive experience. Shares customer service best practices.
  • Monitors customer service, provides coaching, training, and develops improvement plans for front-end and pharmacy teams. Empowers team members to resolve customer issues effectively, exceeding expectations and building loyalty.
  • Responsible for enhancing overall customer service metrics.

Operations

  • Supervises store operations and team activities, including task delegation, shift management, and scheduling to ensure proper coverage.
  • Collaborates with external partners to support community outreach and store growth.
  • Supports data-driven decision making, analysis, and team input to monitor store performance.
  • Manages cash handling, banking, and bookkeeping processes.
  • Oversees inventory management, including resets, price changes, and trend analysis for corrective actions.
  • Ensures store cleanliness, safety, and maintenance; manages emergency responses.
  • Ensures team proficiency with technology systems.
  • Maintains compliance with policies, laws, and regulations, including sale of regulated products.
  • Completes special assignments as needed.

Business Performance Management

  • Analyzes financial and performance data; develops action plans for improvement.
  • Uses KPIs and other tools to engage the team and identify growth opportunities.
  • Supports pharmacy operations during busy periods, including serving as a pharmacy technician if needed.

People & Performance Management

  • Leads and trains team members; provides coaching, mentoring, and career development support.
  • Manages performance through goal setting, feedback, and recognition.
  • Recruits and retains talent, manages staffing needs, and ensures diversity.
  • Follows proper procedures for hiring, training, and record keeping.
  • Establishes a culture of accountability and performance management.

Training & Personal Development

  • Completes Store Manager training programs and other required courses.
  • Monitors personal performance, seeks feedback, and maintains a development plan.
  • Obtains and maintains a valid pharmacy technician license as required.

Communications

  • Maintains open communication with team via meetings and discussions.
  • Assists in planning and communicating company and store strategies.
  • Qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, leadership skills, and willingness to complete training programs.
  • Fluency in English required; flexible work hours and willingness to relocate are necessary.
