FLSA: NON-EXEMPTQUALIFICATIONS:* Must be an experienced carpenter capable of performing finish and cabinet-maker work* Should also be capable of hanging doors, work with locks and commercial doorshardware* Should be experienced with all types of power tools used in carpentry* Must possess excellent health to permit strenuous workREPORTS TO: Coordinator of FacilitiesSUPERVISES: HelpersJOB GOAL: To assist the Director of Buildings and Construction in providing facilities thatare properly maintained and conductive to a learning environmentTERM:Twelve (12) monthsSALARY:Non-Certified Salary Schedule SB-115PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Perform carpenter work as directed or required by work order2. Be diligent in performing work in safe manner3. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment4. Maintain written records as required and directed5. Be responsible and use good judgment in the purchase of job materials6. Operate any vehicles in a safe manner and follow policies as directed7. Perform work in a professional and timely manner8. Follow Rapides Parish School Board policies9. Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Buildings and Construction10. Sign in and out at each school and cooperate with all building personnel
