Facilitates the maintenance of the therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and assists patients with daily living activities. Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. Takes vital signs, weighs patients, and collects routine specimens. Attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings Responsibilities: - Under the direction of a licensed nurse, performs various service related activities in support of patient care and the patient care unit - Responsible for direct and indirect care to assigned patients primarily focusing on hygiene activities of daily living, vital signs and recreational activities Requirements: 6 months Healthcare Experience. De-Escalation Certification or completion within 90 days of employment and recertified annually. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
