DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations is looking for a Receiving Supervisor to join their team at their Manufacturing Facility in Alexandria, Louisiana. The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily operations within the Receiving Department, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of materials, inventory, and project-specific shipments. This role combines hands-on operational work with leadership responsibilities, directly supervising Receiving Technicians while coordinating closely with the PSS Managers, Project Managers, and other internal stakeholders.
The Receiving Supervisor ensures that all receiving and warehouse activities are conducted with the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise Receiving Technicians in daily warehouse and receiving operations.
* Develop and communicate daily work plans, monitor progress, and adjust priorities to meet department goals.
* Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability within the department.
* Coach, train, and mentor team members to promote skill development and operational excellence.
* Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to employees.
* Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new Receiving Technicians.
* Oversee and participate in the unloading of inbound trucks, receiving and inspecting materials, and verifying order accuracy (quality, quantity, and part identification).
* Ensure all received materials are properly located, labeled, and recorded in the company's ERP or inventory system.
* Ensure proper organization and traceability of all materials, tools, and project-related inventory.
* Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Expediters, and Procurement to resolve discrepancies, damage, or logistics issues.
* Maintain and ensure facility cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within all receiving and storage areas.
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery as needed in a safe and compliant manner.
* Monitor receiving schedules and adjust resources to meet production and shipping timelines.
* Support implementation of departmental initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
* Maintain and audit inventory accuracy between ERP records and physical materials.
* Identify and communicate opportunities for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
* Manage and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) related to the Receiving Department.
* Maintain reports and records, including inbound/outbound logs, traffic reports, and labor utilization.
Education and Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor preferred.
* Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory management software preferred.
