Exempt Status: Non-ExemptDepartment Specific: Water-Based Putties, Two Part Epoxies, Adhesive Filling, Adhesive Packaging, Solvent Based PuttiesTitle: Shift SupervisorReports to: Assistant Plant ManagerSummary:Supervise activities of the Production department to process materials and/or manufacture products. Responsible for upholding company quality and safety standards while meeting all order needs in a timely fashion per daily planning expectations. Support optimization of production capabilities and labor usage.Primary Duties:Work with and direct Bldg. Leads to ensure daily production activities are planned for success, including Packaging Machine Lead, Filling Machine Lead, and Bldg. 2 Lead.Ensure all shop orders are closed under appropriate guidelines, including variance clarification (e.g., why is a variance high or low).Maintain shop orders and shop order variance reporting to a 95% accuracy or higher.Monitor OEE to drive improvement opportunities in various areas using the Vorne system to understand where the biggest opportunities are.Support improvements in quality, inventory, and maintenance procedures, policies, and/or methods within the manufacturing process.Increase productivity through improvement of existing machinery, revised methods or packaging, or other means.Reduce all possible forms of waste, including scrap (e.g., boxes, tubes, purge, damaged goods).Prioritize equipment repair needs via the work order system, including both planned and unplanned repairs.Review operating reports and help resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.Essential Duties:Safety improvements, safety training, and safety reporting in compliance with EHS standards. This includes a 95% or higher completion rate on monthly training.Ensure all employees are properly trained in the use of equipment and raw materials handling to meet safety compliance and processes.Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.Ensure all quality manufacturing processes are followed, and employees are trained in proper procedures for assigned tasks. This includes a 95% or higher quality accuracy expectation as a metric for success, measured during line check audits.Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by the Assistant Plant Manager, Director of Operations.Experience:Associate's degree preferred but not required.Minimum of 5 years' related experience and/or training in a manufacturing and quality control environment.Or equivalent combination of education and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.#J-18808-Ljbffr
